An Adventure A Day

Because "life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all" – Helen Keller

I’ve been neglecting this space for the past couple of weeks, I’m terribly sorry about that. You see, I’ve been getting in a bit of family travel. My children are on the German holiday schedule, and here in Bavaria we’re just finishing up a two-week Pfingsten (Pentecost) holiday.

It was a very busy two weeks. First we spent a long weekend in our old German hometown. It was lovely to see so many old friends!

On Saturday, we kicked off the weekend hiking with friends in Western Austria:

Followed by dinner with friends in our old hometown.

On Sunday we had lunch with friends and spent the afternoon playing in the sprinklers before a barbecue with more of our friends.

On Monday we spent the morning at the water Spielplatz (playground) before we set off for home.

By Wednesday we were off again.  This time we were heading East.  First, two days in Budapest.

Followed by two days in Bratislava.

We returned on Sunday, and set off again on Monday afternoon for two days in Oberammergau.

We’re finally back home, unpacked and more or less settled in. When the kids go back to school on Monday, I will  once again resume a more regular schedule!
