The small villages are a great place to stray from the straight path and appreciate the zigzags!

Whether you are a fan of wandering around scenic towns or hiking the beautiful mountains, Garmisch-Partenkirchen is a great place to visit. For my family, no trip there is complete without hiking the Partnachklamm, the Partnach Gorge. Our hike usually begins at the parking lot in front of the 1936 Winter Olympic Stadium. It’s hard …

Technology is a wonderful thing to have when you travel, but even in an age of electronic and digital everything, it’s important to know how to simplify and return to the basics. A GPS is a wonderful thing, but knowing how to use a compass and a map will always keep you headed in the right direction.
