A beautiful spot in Copenhagen is the Citadel Park.
The Appia Antica is one of my favorite spots in Rome. I adore hiking along the wide ancient cobblestones beneath the umbrella pines. This is one of the quaint places you’ll find along the way.
Just beyond the city of Rome, the rolling hills of Lazio will make you think you’ve entered Tuscany!
I love the Rome’s Vittoriano. I think it’s a lovely building to photograph!
The arch of Titus and spring blossoms on a lovely spring day in Rome.
I love Piazza Del Popolo – I find it to be a magical place to launch my journeys into the historic center of Rome.
The Ponte Milvio is one of my favorite pedestrian bridges in Rome. I love the history of the area, and it’s such a photogenic bridge – with fewer tourists and fewer street hawkers.
Sunset over the Ponte Flaminia – probably my favorite non-pedestrian bridge in Rome. I love the reflections of the statues in the Tiber, and catching it in the glow of the evening – pure magic!
I love the glow of the sky at sunset, and being able to see it on the Appia Antica is another magical experience.
I’m not often in the city center during the morning and evening golden hours – so catching the light and shadow of this time of day is a rare treat for me.
Here are a few of the most recent photos I’ve posted on Instagram. Most of them are various spots around Rome, with one exception – the beautiful Citadel Park in Copenhagen.
For some reason, I find that Rome is easier to capture in photographs than it is in words. Perhaps it’s the long history, or the complex character of the city and its many Riones, or maybe it’s the sheer variety of people that call the eternal city home. Whatever it is, I’ll continue to try and capture the elusive spirit of the city that I call home, for now.
